1 method Masarouna uses to support young people’s SRHR
All the Masarouna consortium members and partners have diverse knowledge and skills that they bring to the table. Sharing this knowledge is an essential part of Masarouna’s program strategy. It also contributes to our vision of mobilizing the power of young people so they can claim their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
Our Masarouna consortium member, RNW Media, recently hosted two interactive trainings on digital security and building digital communities.
Digital Safety and Security remains essential in contexts where SRHR remains a taboo topic, which may raise risks of online targeting and harassment against advocates and activists., During the training, we worked with participants to protect their data online. We also discussed ways to protect physical data, such as data in documents or on hard drives. By the end of the training, participants developed their own security plans, which will help them prepare for foreseeable risks.
The Build your Digital Community training kickstarted our partners’ activities for building online communities for youth outreach and campaigning. We worked with participants to define their target audiences and channels. This preparatory work is the first step in beginning their campaigning on SRHR.
RNW Media offers a variety of trainings. Do you want to learn more? Visit the Training Centre website.
Thank you to the participants and everyone that made these trainings a great success. We look forward to more knowledge and skill sharing across the consortium!
